SECURITY STATEMENT

Security Posture & Data Protection Statement

At Vectors, we engineer performance validation for mission-critical environments—including healthcare, defense, and high-scale FinTech. We recognize that load testing and performance engineering require privileged access to your infrastructure and deep visibility into your application architecture.

Security is not an afterthought or a compliance checkbox for us; it is engineered into our delivery model. This document outlines our technical controls, data handling policies, and operational security practices designed to protect your intellectual property, customer data, and infrastructure integrity.

1Data Privacy & Telemetry Isolation (The “Air-Gapped” Standard)

Our core differentiator is our ability to operate in highly restricted, zero-trust environments. We enforce strict data isolation during all engagements.

  • Zero External Telemetry: By default, our load generation nodes and analysis tools are configured to block all outbound telemetry. No application logs, synthetic payloads, or performance metrics are transmitted to third-party SaaS analytics platforms unless explicitly authorized and configured by the client.
  • No PII/PHI Ingestion: We do not require, request, or ingest Production Personally Identifiable Information (PII) or Protected Health Information (PHI). We utilize synthetic data generation and masked staging datasets.
  • Ephemeral Execution Environments: Load generators and test orchestration tools are spun up in isolated, ephemeral containers. Upon project completion, all client-side environments, scripts, and generated reports are cryptographically shredded and permanently deleted.

2Safe Load Generation & Infrastructure Protection

A performance test must never become an accidental Denial of Service (DoS) attack. We engineer our testing protocols to ensure the safety of your production and staging boundaries.

  • Pre-Flight Network Validation: Before full-scale load execution, we conduct strict IP whitelisting, firewall rule verification, and rate-limit checks with your network/security team.
  • Automated Kill-Switches: Our k6 and JMeter test scripts are built with automated circuit breakers. If error rates exceed a predefined threshold (e.g., 5xx errors or latency spikes), the test automatically halts to prevent infrastructure degradation.
  • Geographic & IP Transparency: Clients are provided with the exact IP ranges and geographic regions of our distributed load generators prior to execution, allowing for precise WAF (Web Application Firewall) and DDoS mitigation allow-listing.

3Identity, Access, and Personnel Security

Our engineering team operates under a strict principle of least privilege.

  • Hardware-Backed MFA: All Vectors engineers are required to use hardware security keys (e.g., YubiKey) or FIDO2-compliant authenticators for access to all internal systems, code repositories, and client environments.
  • Background Checks & NDAs: All personnel involved in client engagements undergo comprehensive background checks and sign strict, project-specific Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) and Data Processing Agreements (DPAs).
  • Segregation of Duties: Test script development, execution, and result analysis are segregated to ensure peer review and prevent unauthorized access to client environments.

4Compliance, Audits, and Frameworks

While we operate as an agile, specialized engineering firm, our internal security controls are mapped to globally recognized frameworks.

  • Framework Alignment: Our security policies are aligned with the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) and ISO 27001 control domains. We are actively preparing for a formal SOC 2 Type II audit.
  • Third-Party Penetration Testing: We commission annual third-party penetration tests against our internal infrastructure and orchestration platforms. Executive summaries of these reports are available to enterprise clients under NDA.
  • Industry-Specific Compliance: We design our testing pipelines to help our clients achieve their compliance goals. Our methodologies include built-in traceability and validation frameworks for HIPAA, GDPR, IEC 62304 (Medical), and FDA 21 CFR Part 11.

5Incident Response & Transparency

In the event of a security incident, transparency and speed are critical.

  • 24-Hour Notification SLA: In the unlikely event of a confirmed security breach affecting client data or environments, Vectors commits to notifying the client’s designated security contact within 24 hours of discovery.
  • Cooperative Remediation: We maintain a dedicated incident response retainer and will cooperate fully with client security teams, providing full forensic logs and access to our internal response personnel.

Engage Our Security Team

We welcome scrutiny from your internal security, compliance, and risk teams. To facilitate your vendor risk assessment, we provide the following upon request (subject to mutual NDA):

  1. Standardized Security Questionnaires: Pre-filled SIG Lite, CAIQ, or custom VSAQ responses.
  2. Penetration Test Summaries: Redacted executive summaries of our most recent third-party infrastructure pentest.
  3. Legal & Security Addendums: Our standard Data Processing Agreement (DPA), Security Addendum, and mutual NDA templates.
